Squirrel Crossbreeds

As the title suggests, I'm back from my undeclared birthday hiatus. :D I've been strangely busy the last week and a bit so once again I've not had a chance to make much, which is frustrating. e_e 

The first thing I made was this little model... thing in Maya:

First I wanted it to be a squirrel, then I changed it to a cat, now it's some kind of weird mole/shrew/rabbit crossbreed that I sat in a hole. I have since tried to texture it but thanks to me being stupid and not having a power supply near, I completely lost what I had done when my battery ran out. Go me!

Next up is a drawing I did for a friend who asked to commission me. This is one of his characters & isn't part of the actual commission, so it should be okay to share I hope:

Her name is Chen and she's a Pokemon-based OC. I had lot's of fun drawing her. :D 

Finally is this painting I did of an owl pendant that my Dad's girlfriend gave me for my birthday:

This was the first time I've drawn something from a study on my desk instead of from the computer screen, so I'm sooorta happy with how it came out. I also improvised with the chest a little because the real thing has about 100 tiny 'diamonds' on it and as much as I love painting, that wasn't going to happen today. D:

That's all I have for this week, though now I've actually done a study I think I might try and do a few more (with backgrounds!) as well as those environments I talked about last week.

Lazy.

That's pretty much the only word I have to describe me the last couple of weeks. ): First I got sick, then I pulled a muscle in my neck, now I have a blog post that's 2 weeks late with not much art. Not good! D:

I do have SOME things to show though, so I guess it's not all bad, right?

Here's a WIP I've spent the last few days on. Not solidly, just casually. I can't seem to concentrate on anything long enough to get it done quickly at the moment, so who knows how long it'll take. >_>

I'm pretty certain that I'm gonna muck up the background but we'll see how it goes.

Next up is more Animal Crossing art. I know, I know, I'm overdoing it - I don't really care. It's fun to draw. :D It'll pass eventually I promise.

I also made a Facebook banner for someone, though I'm not sure if they'd be happy with me posting it here so I won't. 

Finally to finish off, here's a larger sized image of Pascal that I painted a little while ago in my picture of Tommy Des Brisay. Hopefully he looks a bit nicer this size. :D 

That's all I have for this week, I'm gonna set myself a target of 5 studies for next week, so we'll see how that goes. I also want to get working on anatomy which would be nice to sneak in too. :D
