Drawing Dump

As promised, here's the rest of the board game drawings that I did from last week. There's quite a few of them so I apologise if you have to scroll quite a lot!

Along with the front of the cards I created the back of them too. I made 3,4 & 5 number cards as well as cards for all of the Monkeys. Here they are:

They aren't anything special but I like to think that they make it easy enough to distinguish the cards from one another.

After the cards I also made the board for our game. It's quite plain but it was fun to make:

There's supposed to be one vine per player, you place your monkey tokens anywhere you like on the board and the first person to the top of their vine wins. Simple!

Then finally the last thing I made for our game were some tokens. I made one girl, one boy and a dog:

Aaaand that's that. Thanks for reading if you did and I hope you have an awesome week! :D

Playing Cards

This week I've been buuusy so sorry for the late post. D: It's going to be quite lengthy content wise but I've cut some stuff out to stop it being TOO lengthy.

Most of my time has been spent drawing pictures to put on the cards for our board game. Here's some of my favourites and some that I'm quite happy with:

I'll save some of the others for next week, so you're not missing out on anything, it'd just be an extremely long post if I put them all up this time. :D

I also 'sneakily' included Tyke for our Snake card which I'm quite proud of:

Then finally here's a 3D model that I made for another project:

I'm not too sure how I feel about it but maybe I'll like it more when I texture it, we'll see. :D

That's all for this blog, thanks for reading if you did and have an awesome week!

Sketchbook Challenge

The Sketchbook Challenge is something that I found out about yesterday when I shamefully listened in accidentally heard one of my tutors talking to the First Year class about it. I thought that it sounded like a really cool idea so I looked it up and decided I'm gonna try it. :D The theme for this month is 'Animal Companions' and if anyone is interested in checking it out then there's a blog all about it here!

Unfortunately I haven't actually started because I didn't buy a sketchbook for the occasion yet, though I'm going to fix that issue tomorrow. I did do this drawing of Tyke and myself to give you a taste of what's to come, though:

Other than that quick piece I've spent pretty much all of this week working on a board game project which at the moment is still in prototype form (but ready to make pretty!). I've got a few pictures of it which I'll post below though :D so here they are:

Without making a huge text wall that totally clogs up this entry, our team is making a phonics board game that's supposed to help teach children how to read and learn words. Our game includes picture cards of various animals/objects and sound cards that you use to spell, use in sentences and think of words for. I hope that makes sense, if not just ask if you want to know more! :D

Also just so you know for sure - this is a GROUP project so I can't take all the credit, my team-mate Sanya is also working on this so yay for her! :D

To go with that, here's a pendant that I've started on as a player counter:

It'll have pictures of explorers in once it's done, this is just a base for it~

And there's also this that you don't really want to see but I drew it this week so it's only right to include it I guess:

SO. On that joyful note, I hope you have an awesome week and thanks for reading if you did. :) Prepare yourself for angsty Corn Snake pictures. Lot's and lot's of angsty Corn Snake pictures.

Self Conscious Potato

Do potatoes even like milk? If I offered one some would they drink it? Makes me wonder.

This week I've drawn a lot of stuff that I don't really draw much any more, I guess? You'll see what I mean in a moment.

About 2 years ago I used to draw a LOT of quite violent monsters which are different to the ones that most of you reading this are used to seeing. This week I drew a couple more of those and while it felt 'good' to be able to do it again it felt wrong, so these are probably the only ones you'll see. Enjoy, I guess? :D

Anyway, here they are:

Glad that's out of the way.

I also started on this staff, not really sure where I'm going to go with it but here it is anyway:

It looks very rough and kinda all over the place at the moment but hopefully I can tidy it up and make it look half decent.

Then to end on here's a derpy partying keyboard:

Thanks for reading if you did and I hope you have an awesome week!
